PKK stands for Development of Family Welfare, a community organization that empowers women to participate in Indonesia`s development.
While attending the commemoration of the 46th Movement Day (HKG) and the Inauguration of the Opening of the 2018 PKK Cadre National Jamboree in Jakarta on Tuesday, Jokowi stated that he was always treated with products exhibited by PKK cadres during his visit to every area.
"I have seen a lot of products and goods which are fostered by PKK women and PKK cadres themselves. There are so many who have the quality, the potential, and the strength to enter the market, both in the domestic market and export," Jokowi noted.
The president admitted that there were so many potentials that could be utilized to develop superior products at the national level.
"This will be an opportunity for all women to be able to create the goods that are suitable for sale anywhere, both in malls and in mini-markets," he remarked.
However, the president revealed that the products exhibited by PKK women still had problems in packaging, design, and speed of production.
"The drawback is in the packaging and not in the product. Later, you can contact Mrs. Tjahjo (Kumolo) to connect with the Creative Economy Agency to improve the packaging design," he revealed.
The head of state also mentioned that the product designs that will be marketed by PKK cadres must follow the market trends.
"The other problem is that it must be been given a good packaging and sold well. Connecting with relevant ministries is also mandatory," Jokowi noted.
The president hopes that cooperation with the relevant ministries can help work on machines, which can accelerate production, to meet market needs.
