"We want to introduce Indonesia`s infrastructures and showcase our extraordinary development projects," a Special Staff of the Ministry of SOEs, Sahala Lumban Gaol, said here on Sunday.
According to him, the pavilion covering an area of around 2,000 square meters will be a showing place of the success of Indonesia`s infrastructure developments such as highways, toll roads, airports to ports in all cities, districts and provinces through the country.
In addition, the development of telecommunication infrastructures, business development and national strategic industries, such as planes, tanks, and ships will also be displayed for the IMF and World Bank delegates.
Pavilion Indonesia also features various investment supporting facilities that can attract investors to do business in Indonesia.
About 150 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from 64 districts/cities in Indonesia are involved in exhibiting the national development.
Pavilion Indonesia will be featuring demonstrations on batik-making, weaving, crafting bags, fans, masks and flutes, as well as other crafts to catch visitors, especially the delegates.
Sahala said the Pavilion Indonesia would be a history for Indonesia because it is the first time in the history of the annual meeting that has a place to introduce the development achievements of the host.
In addition, the number of participants in the annual meeting in Bali, which reaches about 34 thousand people, also becomes another history of the event.
"The point is we want to show the world about development in Indonesia today," he said.
The Pavilion Indonesia is divided into several rooms according to themes such as the SOEs Hall, workshops, exhibitions, VIP areas, investment areas, and coffee shops.
Indonesian SOEs Minister Rini Soemarno is scheduled to open the pavilion on the sidelines of the annual meeting.
