New Delhi (ANTARA News) - Through the Center for Film Development of the Ministry of Education and Culture, the Government of Indonesia has opened up opportunities for cooperation with various countries in the field of cinema.

The opportunity was highlighted to various countries attending the Indonesian Film Week at the Delhi International Film Festival (DIFF) in India.

"The Indonesian Film Week at DIFF not only aims to promote Indonesian films but also informs that we are open to any collaboration between filmmakers from Indonesia, India, or from countries in the world," Education and Culture Ministry`s Head of Facilitation of Film Development Prima Duria remarked in New Delhi on Sunday night.

While addressing the ambassadors of several countries to India and the film industry players, Duria stated that the Indonesian government had invited stakeholders and participants of the DIFF to collaborate.

Realizing the importance of stakeholders to play a role and work together in the film industry, Duria invited all parties that had participated to not hesitate to build communication and networking with Indonesia.

"Hence, we can derive the benefits for our film and culture together," she stated, adding that Indonesia, as a special partner country at the DIFF, presented four films from various genres: Fairy Tale, Pilgrimage, Difficult Signals, and Pangreh short films.

The film will be screened for a week at the New Delhi NDMC Convention Center at different schedules.

Duria noted that the screening of the four films is expected to showcase Indonesia`s uniqueness, the archipelago`s landscape, and the natural potential and humanitarian side of the country.

"We hope the audience would be able to gain knowledge on Indonesian films and a better understanding of the country," she added.
