Jakarta, (ANTARA News) - The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) plans to formulate a roadmap for the integration of information communication technology (ICT) in the agribusiness sector to improve production effectiveness and efficiency.

Data providers, both in e-logistics and e-commerce sectors, will hopefully have one big data which has been synchronized and integrated, chief of the chamber`s permanent committee for ICT agribusiness, Andi B. Sirang said in a focus group discussion at the Kadin Tower here on Wednesday.

"We will later make a roadmap for ICT that will involve all sides, both government and private institutions, to harmonize (their data) so we will have one big data and one common reference," he said.

To synchronize data, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) will gather data by conducting census and making digital innovations, he said.

In addition, state telecommunication operator Telkom Indonesia will also gather data to make the collected data accurate, he said.

With one data reference, the government will be able to make accurate policies, he said.

According to him, ICT agribusiness is needed to support production, distribution and communication systems to increase effectiveness and efficiency.

Producers are required not only to work automatically within their factories but also to meet market demand responsively and efficiently, he said.
