"We hope that in 2019, more companies would conduct oil and gas explorations," Parlindungan stated here, Wednesday.
He added that the IPA will continue to support an increase in oil and gas exploration targets and enhance cooperation with the government.
Parlindungan highlighted that the IPA had always established coordination with the government regarding regulations, policies, and taxation.
"The 2019 goal is establishing collaboration between companies and the government, especially to boost the upstream side. We will continue to work together to make investment more attractive and increase exploration targets," he noted.
Parlindungan said he will establish communication with IPA members to review programs to be conducted in 2019.
Meanwhile, IPA 2018 President Ronald Gunawan stated that the investment condition in 2018 was viewed as being better than that in the previous year since the global oil prices were increasingly competitive, and the policy on gross split scheme was accepted by oil and gas companies.
The gross split scheme had become the main topic of discussion among IPA members.
