The regulation related to holiday allowances, including the 13th salaries for state apparatuses, has been set forth in the 2019 state budget, she noted after a coordination meeting of public service bodies (BLU) in Jakarta on Tuesday.
The 2019 state budget, which was endorsed in October 2018, began to take effect in January 2019.
Since Eid al-Fiitr festivities this year fall on June 1 and collective leaves start from June 1 until June 7, the allowances will be distributed in May 2019, she revealed.
"The allowances must be paid in May or before the collective leaves. Hence, the government regulation to that effect has been prepared from now on," she noted.
The Finance Ministry and the Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Ministry are in the process of formulating the government regulation.
In addition, the Finance Ministry is still awaiting a report from the Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Ministry with regard to the verification of the number of civil servants entitled to receive the allowances.
"The administrative and bureaucratic reform minister will decide the number of state apparatuses put on the list of state apparatuses entitled to receive the allowances and 13th salaries, including those working for regional governments," she remarked.
Last year, the government had allocated Rp17.88 trillion for civil servants` and pensioners` allowances, comprising Rp5.24 trillion for civil servants` allowances and salaries, Rp5.79 trillion for performance allowances, and Rp6.85 trillion for pensioners` allowances.
