Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesian Badminton Team Manager Susi Susanti hopes that all athletes perform optimally against Japan in the semi-final round of the 2019 Mixed Team Badminton, which will take place at Queen Elizabeth Stadium, Hong Kong.

"I hope that our players can play better and more optimally tomorrow because the resistance might be tighter," Susi said through a PBSI press release received by ANTARA in Jakarta on Friday.

According to her, the Japanese team has good and evenly structured players. She also predicted the semifinal match would be a very tight one.

"Japan does have good and even players. But if our athletes can go all out, we are sure to have a chance of winning," said Susi.

So far, Susi, who also serves as the Head of the PP PBSI Development and Achievement Division, considers that the athletes are in good shape.

"The performance of the athletes is quite good so far. Hopefully, it will be even better later," Susi said.

In the semifinal round, which will take place on Saturday (23/3), Indonesia will face Japan. Previously, Japan had beaten Malaysia 3-0.

Meanwhile, there are four teams that are still fighting for tickets to the semifinals, namely China, Thailand, HongKong and Taiwan.
