According to the KSEI official webpage accessed here on Monday, the decision to stop operation on the day of the general elections was made along with the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI).
“KSEI and its scriptless securities transaction settlement and custodian service by C-BEST, as well as the S-INVEST service will be shut,” KSEI Director Syafruddin said.
However, customers still can submit online versions of Single Investor Identification (SID) and Investor Fund Unit Account via S-INVEST.
Meanwhile, other activities related to transaction settlements and interest or principal payment for government bonds and other stocks issued by the government and Bank Indonesia will be announced later.
The 2019 general elections will be the first time where people will simultaneously cast their votes for the presidential and legislative elections.
The ballots will accommodate two pairs of presidential candidates, namely number 01 incumbent president Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Ma'ruf Amin, and number 02 Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno, as well as legislative candidates from 16 political parties for the house of representatives in the central and regional areas.
