Meanwhile, of the 129,475 people on the DPT, 83,818 cast their vote in 433 mobile ballot boxes in the districts of Sandakan-Kinabatangan, Kudat, Keningau, Beaufort-Sipitang and Labuan, Kundasang, Bandar KK 1 and Bandar KK 2.
Rustam revealed that 64.7 percent of the voters cast their vote in mobile ballot boxes, while 30.2 percent voted in polling stations.
In the meantime, Indonesian Consul General in Kota Kinabalu Krishna Djelani lauded the PPLN and the general election supervisory committee (Panwaslu) for making optimal preparations to hold the event owing to which the voter participation level had increased.
The earlier elections recorded less than 50 percent Indonesian voters, with merely few polling stations set up.
However, in the 2019 presidential and legislative elections, voting has been conducted on a massive scale, with polling stations set up at farm and plantation areas. EDITED BY INE
