Kuala Lumpur (ANTARA) - The provisional recapitulation results of vote counting for the 2019 election by Kuching Sarawak's Overseas Election Committee (PPLN), Malaysia on Apr 20 at 1.43 p.m. local time, showed Joko Widodo-Ma'ruf Amin's superiority over Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Salahudin Uno.

Kuching PPLN Chair Adi Dewanto remarked when contacted from Kuala Lumpur on Saturday that the presidential and vice-presidential candidate pair number 01 garnered 44,870 votes, or 63 percent, while the pair number 02 secured 26,420 votes, or 37 percent.

He stated that vote counting for the 2019 election by PPLN Kuching was held from April 17 at 9 a.m. local time, until April 18 at the Stadium Perpaduan, Kuching.

"The vote counting process kicked off under the watch of Panwaslu (Election Supervisory Committee) and witnesses of the election participants from PKS and PSI. The vote recapitulation process for the results of the 2019 election vote is still underway," he noted.

Dewanto noted that he was currently in the process of "inputting" data on the Legislative Election.

Based on temporary recapitulation of the 2019 election vote count by the PPLN Kuching, the total votes reached 71,290, and invalid votes, 3,429.
