Febri Diansyah, the anti-graft body's spokesman, noted here on Friday that the issues faced were in the form of third-party asset possession, land possession by residents, and construction of properties on local government land.
During the period from Apr 29 to May 1, the KPK had conducted a review of the local government's assets and optimization of local revenues in South Sulawesi Province.
"The Makassar city administration had not kept the document of ownership of Tello Park that is currently being claimed by a local resident, thereby resulting in lawsuits," he pointed out.
The commission has paid a visit to several assets in Makassar, including the Losari Lagoon Park, Pelita Agro warehouse area, and regional Terminal of Daya, which third parties had taken control of.
"This is a follow-up to the memorandum of understanding inked among the South Sulawesi government, Bank of Sulselbar, and the National Land Agency on Apr 9," Diansyah added.
