Bandung, W Java (ANTARA) - The flow of homebound travelers passing through the southern route of Cileunyi to Nagreg in West Java was reportedly smooth on Saturday, or four days prior to the Eid al-Fitr celebrations.

Deputy Chief of the Indonesian Police Commissioner General Ari Dono Sukmanto remarked that several travelers opted to take the northern route of the Trans-Java toll road.

"That is among the factors. Secondly, traffic around the Kahatex factory is not as heavy as compared to last year," Sukmanto remarked at the Cikaledong security post in Nagreg, Bandung District, on Saturday.

Sukmanto has forecast the flow of homebound travelers to peak today in the evening.

The police has rerouted the traffic on the Cagak-Garut-Tasikmalaya route to prevent traffic congestion.

The authority has also readied a rest area for homebound travelers and entertained them through music and the unique design of the post.
