The relevant person is scheduled to be examined as a witness for the suspect RMY (Romahurmuziy).
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Wednesday summoned Amin Nuryadi, a personal staff member of Romahurmuziy (Rommy), who was named suspect in a bribery case on functional official selections in the Religious Affairs Ministry in 2018-2019.

"The relevant person is scheduled for examination as a witness for the suspect RMY (Romahurmuziy)," KPK spokesman Febri Diansyah confirmed in Jakarta on Wednesday.

The anti-graft body determined three suspects in the bribery case comprising Rommy, who is allegedly the bribe recipient, while Head of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Office for Gresik Region Muhammad Muafaq Wirahadi and Head of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Office for East Java Province Haris Hasanuddin were the two other suspects, who were allegedly the ones giving the bribe.

Wirahadi and Hasanuddin underwent trial at the Jakarta Special Court for Corruption Cases (Tipikor Court), while Rommy is still undergoing investigation by the KPK.

Rommy, acting as a witness for Wirahadi and Hasanuddin's trial on Wednesday (June 26), admitted to having received Rp250 million from Hasanuddin in connection with nominating him for the position.
