If the situation on previous days was marked by not many visitors in areas, in the afternoon before the Indonesian representatives' semi-final match to begin at 1 p.m. local time, visitors seemed to throng several spots in the area of GBK.
Before the start of the match, visitors kept themselves occupied in the available areas by sampling various cuisines in the form of a variety of food and drinks or simply chatting, among others.
The area around GBK is also designed to cater to the needs of visitors, with chairs and tables available for people to relax as well as equipped with electrical outlets that are widely used by visitors to charge their cell phones.
These visitors come from various circles, ranging from teenagers, adults, and the elderly. Families also arrived in groups.
In the meantime, the area around the ticket window wore a desolate look. Only a few people were seen lining up to purchase tickets.
Outside the arena, several brokers were spotted lining up to sell tickets at various prices.
One broker spotted outside the arena stated that a black ticket was sold at Rp550 thousand, though the normal price was only Rp220 thousand, while a blue ticket is priced at up to Rp2 million.
Two Indonesian representatives will compete in the semi-final round of the Blibli Indonesia Open badminton tournament that starts at 13:00 WIB.
Both Red and White representatives came from the men's doubles category, specifically the fourth-seeded pair Mohammad Ahsan / Hendra Setiawan and first-seed Marcus Fernaldi Gideon / Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo.
