Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno L. P. Marsudi arrived in Bangkok, Thailand, for the 52nd ASEAN ministerial meeting and related meetings with ASEAN dialogue partners.

Following her arrival on Monday, Marsudi immediately held a coordination meeting with the Indonesian delegates for discussing the meetings.

On Tuesday, the minister is scheduled to meet with representatives from the ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights (AIHCR) and Southeast Asia Nuclear Weapon-Free Zone (SEANWFZ) Commission.

From Wednesday to Friday (July 31-August 2), Minister Marsudi will attend the plenary and retreat meeting of the ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting (AMM), the East Asia Summit Foreign Ministers' Meeting (EAS) meeting, the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF), and 10 other meetings with all ASEAN speech partners.

In addition to attending the series of ASEAN Ministerial Meeting (AMM), Minister Marsudi will meet with foreign ministers of several countries, including Australia, Britain, China, and Vietnam.

Marsudi also plans to meet with the UN Secretary General's Special Envoy for Myanmar. The 17th Southwest Pacific Dialogue (SwPD) Ministerial Meeting is also added to her agenda.

Foreign ministers from the 10 ASEAN member countries and 10 ASEAN dialog partners -- the United States, Australia, India, Canada, Japan, Republic of Korea, Russia, New Zealand, China, and the European Union – participated in the meeting series.
