"We have produced avtur and we don't need to import now. If possible, we will export avtur. We have to produce palm oil-based avtur," Jokowi said in his state address before members of the House of Representatives (DPR) and Regional Representatives Council (DPD) here on Friday.
The President arrived at the parliament complex at 9.55 a.m. local time, wearing Sasak traditional costume. He was accompanied by First Lady Iriana Widodo who wore white traditional costume and batik shawl.
Jokowi told a cabinet meeting recently that he had asked stakeholders to speed up the mandatory proportion of diesel blended with crude palm oil (CPO) from 20 percent (B20) to 30 percent (B30) by January 2020, and 50 percent (B50) by the end of 2020, hence pushing up the domestic use of palm oil.
The B20 mandatory proportion has saved as much as US$1.66 billion of the state budget or some Rp23.57 trillion. The program has reduced solar import by 45 percent in 2019.
