Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Agency for Technology Assessment and Application (BPPT) organized Indonesia's premier exhibition on electrical vehicles called "Indonesia Electric Motor Show" (IEMS) 2019 at Balai Kartika, Kuningan, Jakarta, on Sept 4-5.

Some 45 participants, comprising government institutions and private sector companies, were in attendance to showcase their electrical vehicles featuring the latest technology from Japan, China, European, and local automotive manufacturers.

"This exhibition is a form of our implementation in electric motor industry and competitiveness," BPPT Head Hammam Riza stated at the venue, Wednesday.

The exhibition, themed "Electric Vehicle for Smart Transportation," also displayed an array of supporting components within the electric vehicle technology ecosystem, such as charging stations.

Along with featuring electric vehicle technology, IEMS 2019 held a seminar on the topic of national development of electric vehicle technologies, including security and legal aspects to operate the vehicle.
