"The completion phase is currently underway," Puspadewi reaffirmed.
The president director explained that the phase-one development will encompass the construction of some tourism infrastructure, including hotels, marina, shopping zone, and ferry port.
"Started in October this year, several hotels will be available for tourists, while the shopping center has leased some spaces to tenants," she stated.
The seaport operator is also eyeing to complete the marina's construction by 2020.
"At least 100 yachts will be moored at the marina situated right in front of the hotels," Puspadewi noted.
Development of the commercial zone is divided into two phases. Since its groundbreaking in April 2017, the first-phase development took at least three years to be completed, while the second phase might begin in 2021.
During the second phase of construction, the seaport operator had planned to build a beach club and other hotels.
The construction of an integrated commercial zone at the fishing town of Labuan Bajo targets preparing the town for tourists since the area had been selected by the Ministry of Tourism as one of the top 10 New Bali destinations.
