Jakarta (ANTARA) - Fijian former minister of national security and defense Ratu Inoke Kubuabola paid a visit to Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Wiranto here on Monday.

During the meeting, the discussion between Wiranto and Kubuabola covered a broad range of matters, including bilateral cooperation and Papua.

Kubuabola voiced support to Indonesia to solve the problem in Papua, Wiranto revealed.

Wiranto further pointed out that Kubuabola had a broad understanding of the problems in the South Pacific region and the regional integration as well as Indonesia’s position, especially concerning Papua and West Papua.

Moreover, Kubuabola affirmed that the fact that Papua and West Papua are parts of Indonesia is final.

"This is national integration that has been recognized by the United Nations and cannot be questioned by anyone or any country," Wiranto pointed out.

Kubuabola admitted to feeling honored to be able to discuss various matters with Wiranto.

Kubuabola also claimed to be familiar with the situation in Jakarta owing to his frequent visits to Indonesia.
