Once again, Indonesia is actively willing, and more than ready to contribute for the solutions of the two difficult problemsJakarta (ANTARA) - President Joko Widodo held a meeting with Secretary General of the United Nations (UN) Antonio Guterres in Bangkok, Thailand, to discuss humanitarian crises in Palestine and of Rohingya minority in Myanmar's Rakhine State.
Indonesia remained ready to contribute for the solution of those problems, Jokowi told Guterres in the meeting held here on Saturday, on the sidelines of the ASEAN Summit.
"The President conveyed his observation about the two issues. Once again, Indonesia is actively willing, and more than ready to contribute for the solutions of the two difficult problems," Indonesian Foreign Affairs Minister Retno LP Marsudi said after accompanying the President during the meeting with the UN Secretary General.
Guterres expressed his appreciation to the President for Indonesia's contributions for finding solutions to those problems.

Jokowi and Guterres shared similar views that every party must remain hopeful of ending the crises although the problems remain unsolved at this moment.
"We must not lose hope. We must keep on trying because both problems concern humanitarian issues," the minister was quoted as saying in a statement issued by Erlin Suastini, head of the Presidential Secretariat's Press, Media and Information Bureau.
During the meeting with Guterres, Jokowi was also accompanied Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud Md, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Trade Minister Agus Suparmanto, and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung. President Widodo and First Lady Iriana on Saturday left for Thailand to attend the Summit that began on November 2 and concludes on November 4.
The Summit themed "Promoting Partnership for Sustainability" discussed partnership between ASEAN member states and other countries for sustainable growth in the region.
While in Thailand, President Widodo is scheduled to attend a series of meetings including the 22nd ASEAN-China Summit, 16th ASEAN-India Summit, 10th ASEAN-United Nations Summit, 7th ASEAN-the United States Summit, ASEAN Plus Three Leaders Meeting with the East Asian Business Council 22nd ASEAN Plus Three Summit, 14th East Asia Summit, 22nd ASEAN-Japan Summit, and the 3rd Regional Economic Comprehensive Partnership.
