We will forge collaboration through working groups, investigation, and joint researches on technology, trends, and cyber affairs, as well as capacity building by conducting cybersecurity trainingJakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia's National Cyber and Encryption Agency (BSSN) has reiterated the importance of collaboration among relevant stakeholders as a precautionary measure against cyberattacks that threaten the nation’s cybersecurity.
"I am upbeat that every stakeholder would develop capacity and capability to confront cyber threats in accordance with the needs and existing capability," BSSN Chairman Lt Gen. (retired) Hinsa Siburian noted in his opening remarks during the 2019 Indonesian Cyber Security Conference organized at the Jakarta Convention Center here on Wednesday.
The conference, themed "In support of the nation's cyber and information security agenda," is being organized until Nov 8, 2019.
Held annually since 2015, CSI 2019 – Cyber Security Indonesia 2019, the 5th edition of the event being organized, is Indonesia’s leading cybersecurity trade event featuring a high-level conference, trade exhibition, and technology seminar.

Over the past three years, BSSN has remained resolute in playing a role in the development of national cybersecurity and resilience by organizing various programs and services.
Based on the Global Security Index issued by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), Indonesia ranked 70th in 2017, climbing to 41st position in 2018, among 194 nations.
Attendees at the Cyber Security Indonesia Conference comprised leaders in cybersecurity, policy makers, professionals, innovators, service providers, end-users, and leading industry stakeholders to share knowledge and debate on critical issues surrounding the threat to information security, on both a national and international scale.
Indonesia is at the epicenter of the world’s cyber vulnerability, being globally recognized as the world’s largest source of cyberattacks. Poorly secured servers in Indonesia are being used not only to strike at domestic targets but also as a launch pad for targets across the globe.
