We are optimistic that they will be interested in investing in Batang.Batang, C Java (ANTARA) - Some 59 Chinese entrepreneurs of China’s Sandong Province and 52 representatives of Chinese companies paid a visit to Batang District, Central Java Province, on Thursday, to explore investment possibilities in the district.
Batang District Head Wihaji and heads of district offices received the Chinese entrepreneurs in the meeting hall of the Batang District Head's Office on Thursday afternoon.
The Chinese entrepreneurs are interested in investing in Batang owing to the wide array of investment facilities offered by the local authorities, he revealed.
"A total of 59 entrepreneurs and 52 representatives of companies from China are ready to invest in Indonesia, and they are interested in Batang," he stated.

Several of the Chinese companies will be engaged in furniture (household appliances) industry since the district had raw materials in vast quantities.
"Batang is endowed with abundant wood raw materials since it has timber estates. In fact, a Chinese company has set up a company in Batang and produced goods for exports," he stated.
He noted that the Chinese investors will require 300 hectares of land and investment totaling Rp1 trillion to run their business in Batang.
"The Chinese investors are in the process of exploring (the possibility of investment). We are optimistic that they will be interested in investing in Batang," he noted.
They will be keen to invest in Batang owing to the easy licensing process, cheap land prices, and abundant labor force in addition to access to the Trans Java toll road.
