Hence, they can expand their marketJakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia's Finance Ministry has set up a Joint Office for Export to simplify coordination and ease services for exporters, including micro-, small-, and medium-scale enterprises, to obtain information pertaining to exports and imports.
The ministry's Secretary General, Hadiyanto, remarked here on Wednesday that the office was established with the objective of deepening collaboration on the export process among stakeholders.
"We hope that the joint office would be able to respond to the demand for information from our exporters. Hence, they can expand their market," he remarked at the office, located in the same building as the National Single Window Institution (LNSW).

Hadiyanto expounded on three areas that will become the focus of the joint office, with the first being access on integrated information from related ministries on exports.
"Exporters, especially SMEs, that have yet to understand the process to obtain a license, can use this office to discuss the issue," he noted.
The second area of priority is to assist exporters facing funding difficulties, and thirdly, to obtain insightful information on potential market for their products.
"This is an opportunity to obtain information on market research," he stated.
Executive Director of the Indonesian Export Financing Institution (LPEI) Daniel James Rompas remarked that the institution in 2020 will focus on efforts to encourage SMEs to boost exports.
"This will have a positive impact in terms of the flow of information on exports and imports, required by exporters, especially SMEs," he added.
