Ambon, Maluku (ANTARA) - The realization of customs and excise receipts at the Type C Customs and Excise Office in Ambon, capital of Maluku Province, in 2019 reached 4.9 billion rupiahs or 164.54 percent from the target of 100 percent.

"Customs and excise receipts reached 4.9 billion rupiahs from a target of 3 billion rupiahs," Head of Ambon's Type C Customs and Excise Office, Saut Mulia, said on Wednesday.

He added that the revenue was obtained from import duty of 4.8 billion rupiahs and excise of 45 million rupiahs.

Compared to the revenues in 2018, the target was 1.4 billion rupiahs, while the realization of revenue obtained was 2.2 billion rupiahs.

He explained that the revenue was obtained from export and import activities, in which export activities in 2019 reached 559 Notification of Export of Goods (PEB).

There were 11 exporters, including nine from the fisheries sector and two non-fishery commodities, with a total of 559 PEB and a gross volume of 1,830,328 kg. In 2018, there were 219 PEB with a 1,043,245 kg gross volume.

In addition, there were five new exporters in 2019, including UD Putri Desi, PT Air Biru Maluku, CV Sumber Harta Laut Mas, PT Wahana Lestari Investama and PT Rajawali Laut Timur.

He stated that for import activities in 2019, there were at least 46 Goods Import Declarations from six existing importers.

The imported commodities are non-fishery commodities and generated state revenues in the form of import duties of 4.8 billion rupiahs. Related news: Customs, excise receipts may exceed target of Rp194 trillion
