The government highly lauds and thanks all parties for their cooperation in evacuating Indonesian citizens from Hubei Province.Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian government praised and expressed gratitude to all parties for their cooperation in evacuating Indonesians from the coronavirus-affected Hubei Province in China, presidential spokesman Fadjroel Rachman stated.
"The government highly lauds and thanks all parties for their cooperation in evacuating Indonesian citizens from Hubei Province," Rachman noted in an official statement released on Saturday.
The gratitude was particularly directed at the Chinese government, including the Chinese ambassador to Indonesia, Hubei provincial government, and Wuhan airport authorities, he pointed out.
"Thanks are also expressed to the Indonesian Embassy (in China) for the unrelenting efforts since the first day of the coronavirus outbreak to establish constant contact with 243 Indonesians in Hubei until their evacuation as well as to the Wuhan chapter of the Indonesian-Chinese Students Association for their active cooperation with the Indonesian Embassy during difficult times in Wuhan City," he stated.
He affirmed that President Joko Widodo highly commended all parties for their relentless efforts to help each other which he described as a reflection of the Indonesian community's mutual help.
"Let us help each other and work hand-in-hand to face and tide through this difficult time. May God, the Almighty, bless us," he remarked. EDITED BY INE
