The guests, employees, as well as officials and ministers are all required to go through (this chamber).Jakarta (ANTARA) - A disinfection chamber has already become functional at the entry gate of the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta on Monday to destroy any potentially harmful germs, especially of coronavirus, which might be present on clothing.
This precautionary measure was enacted following the COVID-19 infection case of Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi confirmed by State Secretary Minister Pratikno on Saturday, March 14.
Everyone is required to enter the small room-like machine, with a transparent glass door, before they can access the Merdeka Palace, Presidential Palace, and Presidential Office located at the complex.
"The guests, employees, as well as officials and ministers are all required to go through (this chamber)," Beni Fansir, operator of the chamber, stated. "It aims to sterilize a person entering this chamber where the disinfectant will immediately be sprayed," Fansir explained.
