The first report we received was from the room’s owner, who was informed of the death by the deceased's roommate.Badung, Bali (ANTARA) - A 55-year-old Australian national, identified as DD WIL J, was found dead inside his rented accommodation in Munggu Village, Badung, Bali late on Tuesday night after complaining of shortness of breath, said police.
"The first report we received was from the room's owner, who was informed of the death by the deceased's roommate," spokesperson for the Badung Local Police, I Ketut Oka Bawa, said on Wednesday.
The roommate also reported that before his death, the Australian national had complained of shortness of breath, he added.
The Australian national's roommate gave him some medicines, but several hours later, he again said he could barely breathe and collapsed, police said.
Staff from the local disaster management agency (BPBD), wearing personal protective equipment, conducted an assessment at the scene and then removed the victim's body from the room. However, "the cause of his death needs further investigation”, said police.
