Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) called on the ministerial ranks as well as regional and institutional heads to conduct budget reforms to drive the economy.

"I urge the ministers, regional heads, and heads of institutions to conduct budget reforms, so that they can drive the national and regional economy," President Jokowi remarked at the submission of the Budget Implementation List (DIPA) and the Book of Transfer Allocation Lists to Regions and Village Funds Year 2021 in Jakarta, Wednesday.

President Jokowi appealed to his staff to utilize the state budgets (APBN) and regional budgets (APBD) carefully and effectively as well as ensure that it is right on target.

The head of state emphasized that all rupiah in the APBN and APBD must be optimally channeled for the benefit of the people.

In addition, the head of state highlighted the importance of flexibility in using the budget in facing the current uncertainty.

"Our main task is to solve the issues, tackle community problems, and help the people. Prudence, transparency, and accountability are an integral part of implementing the APBN and APBD," President Jokowi stated. Related news: RI govt ready to reform budget
