The Presidential Aircraft Indonesia-1, carrying the head of state and his limited entourage, departed from the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta, at around 8:25 a.m. local time.
Upon arrival at the Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport, Palembang City, the president and his entourage headed to the Kramasan toll gate where the inauguration ceremony was held with strict adherence to health protocols.
Jokowi inaugurated the Kayu Agung-Palembang segment of the toll road construction project.
Following the inauguration ceremony, Jokowi inspected a nine-kilometer-long segment of the toll road project that included the Ogan Bridge’s construction at KM 364.
The president and his entourage were scheduled to return to Jakarta at noon after the event.
Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko, Presidential Military Secretary M. Tony Harjono, Presidential Guard Commander Major General Agus Subiyanto, and Deputy for Protocol, the Press, and Media of the Presidential Secretariat Bey Machmudin, among others, accompanied the head of state on the flight to South Sumatra Province.
