Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno L. P. Marsudi and her Japanese counterpart, Motegi Toshimitsu, are on the same page over the need for prompt efforts to end violence in Myanmar.

Marsudi and Toshimitsu reached the agreement during a telephonic conversation that lasted 20 minutes, according to a press statement from the Japanese Embassy in Jakarta on Thursday.

The conversation was a follow up to two teleconferences held last month.

During the conversation, the two foreign ministers again exchanged in-depth views on the latest situation in Myanmar.

Marsudi spoke of Indonesia's views about the ASEAN Leaders Meeting organized by ASEAN member states as one of the endeavors to seek a solution to the situation in Myanmar.
