The effort has received recognition and the certificate of PT SGS Indonesia, as certification agency , after external audit was completed at the end of March 2021. In 2019 the implementation SMAP has begun in the scope of Procurement Function and Upstream Directorate and has successfully to obtain certificates from certification agency in March and August 2020.
Acting Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications & Investor Relation of Pertamina, Fajriyah Usman, explained that the implementation SMAP is the real form of company support for the government's policy to prevent corruption in Indonesia, which is stipulated in Presidential Instruction Number 10 of 2016 on Prevention and Eradication of Corruption and Presidential Regulation Number 54 of 2018 regarding National Strategy on Corruption Prevention, as well as several letters from the Ministry of BUMN in 2019 and 2020 as implementing the Presidential Instruction and Presidential Regulation. Pertamina appointed as one of pilot project to apply SMAP based on ISO 37001:2016.
"With ISO 37001 certification, we hope that stakeholder trust will continues to increase because the company has implemented anti-corruption program in accordance with internationally recognized standards. It is certainly support vision of the company to become a World Class Energy Company,” she said.
The President Director of PT SGS Indonesia, Shashibhushan Jogani, said the development and implementation of certified SMAP that currently is underway in Indonesia, is an important factor to improve the company performance and strengthen the image of the organization internationally.
"ISO 37001 SMAP was designed to be a guide in the management of the company in order to prevent, detect and respond to bribery and also to ensure enforcement of anti-bribery regulations by implementation in the company’s operational and business activities," said Shasi.
Fajriyah also said that the implementation SMAP is an effort to strengthen clean and transparent business governance in line with the demands of Environment Social Governance (ESG) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) point 16, which are related to effective, transparent and accountable governance.
