Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian House of Representatives' Commission I held a closed-door joint work team meeting with Home Affairs Ministry, General Election Commission (KPU), Election Watchdog (Bawaslu), and Election Organizers Honorary Council (DKPP), Monday, over 2024 general elections’ concept and design.

"This is a meeting of the joint work team agreed upon during our last working meeting. This team was set up to follow up on the draft concept and design of the 2024 general elections prepared by the KPU. The concept will be discussed in detail before being endorsed. Hence, we will see how the concept will look like," Chairman of the House Commission I Ahmad Doli Kurnia stated at the parliament building.

"The meeting is the first of its kind held by the joint working team since it was formed at the working meeting of the House Commission I some time back.

The House Commission has appointed 12 members of the working team including leaders of the House Commission II and the chairman of party factions.

"The 12 members comprise all leaders and section group chiefs. Two of them are the Directorate General of Regional Autonomy and the Director General of Politics and Governments. The KPU and Bawaslu are represented by all members.
