We have set a schedule for blocking entry into Kupang City, though not every day, as it only applies on certain days
Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara (ANTARA) - The Kupang city government blocks entry into Kupang City on every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

"We have set a schedule for blocking entry into Kupang City, though not every day, as it only applies on certain days," Deputy Mayor of Kupang Hermanus Man stated here on Tuesday.

This step was taken by the Kupang city government after enforcing PPKM level 4 in order to stem the spread of COVID-19, especially the Delta variant.

The isolation would bar anyone from entering or leaving Kupang City in order to lower the potential of COVID-19 transmission, he stated.

His side is implementing this measure in those three days, as several people in Kupang City worked in Kupang District.

He noted that if the residents, who had left Kupang City, were to re-enter on the day of isolation, they would be prohibited from entering.

Residents, who enter and exit Kupang City on the other days of the week, are required to comply with the health protocols laid out by the Kupang city government.

The Kupang city government will impose criminal sanctions on violators of the health protocols during the implementation of PPKM level 4 in Kupang City.
