Thus, we do not only depend on flight traffic.Jakarta (ANTARA) - State-owned airport operator PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) has unveiled discounts on several premium services at Soekarno-Hatta Airport to mark its 37th anniversary on August 13, 2021.
The company’s vice president of corporate communications, Yado Yarismano, said the promotions cover Joumpa Airport VIP, Saphire Precious first-class lounge, and Anara Airport Hotel services.
"The four-star hotel is located on Terminal 3 of the Soekarno-Hatta Airport. It is managed by our subsidiary, PT Angkasa Pura Properti, and was opened earlier this year. It offers five types of rooms -- Deluxe Room, Deluxe Disabled Room, Executive Suite, Deluxe Suite, and Junior Suite," he said in a statement issued on Friday.
Passengers and visitors will get special offers while staying at the hotel in August 2021, he said. For instance, they will be able to rent deluxe rooms for just Rp370 thousand nett per night as against the normal price of Rp788 thousand nett per night.
Additional services will comprise breakfast for two people and late check out until 2 p.m. Indonesian Western Standard Time, Yarismano informed. To avail the discount, customers will have to contact the management first via the phone number listed on the hotel's website, he added.
"The hotel is one of our attempts to diversify our business and increase our revenues from the non-aeronautical sectors to support our main business," he said.
The corporation’s aeronautical businesses comprises air passenger services as well as aircraft landing, placement and storage services, he informed. Meanwhile, its non-aeronautical businesses comprise ground handling, property, cargo, and advertising, he said.
"We have been able to balance the revenue contribution between the two sectors. Thus, we do not only depend on flight traffic," Yarismano added.

Meanwhile, Persero subsidiary PT Gapura Angkasa, which manages the Joumpa Airport VIP service, is offering the services at a promo rate of Rp170,370 in August 2021, he informed.
The services include domestic arrival and departure assistance -- check-in assistance, fast-track service, cabin baggage handling, and assistance at boarding or exit gates, Yarismano said.
"Customers will get private assistants at the airport to get any support related to airport services," he added.
Meanwhile, Saphire Precious lounge is offering first class services for just Rp237 thousand per person in August 2021 against the normal price of Rp999 thousand, he said. The lounge will also offer a discounted rate of Rp699 thousand per person from September to December 2021, he added.
The lounge is located at the ex-Terminal 1B VIP lounge as the current Soekarno-Hatta Airport VIP lounge occupies a new building at Terminal 3 and is only dedicated to state guests and presidents of friendly countries, Yarismano said. The lounge conversion reflects the company's efforts towards optimizing its assets at the airport, he added.

Furthermore, the lounge is offering several services for assisting customers during departures -- a private lane for entering the lounge area; check-in and baggage handling; a dedicated personal assistant; private boarding with passenger and baggage inspection carried out at security check point at the lounge; and, Airside Transfer to Aircraft, under which passengers are escorted directly from the air side to the plane on a special vehicle, he said.
Meanwhile, the services provided for customers at arrivals include a private lane for pickup vehicles to enter the lounge area; personal assistants to collect luggage; and Airside Transfer from Aircraft, under which passengers are escorted from the plane to the lounge, he added.
The lounge has been equipped with several facilities -- an executive lounge, meeting room, dining room, praying room, toilet, WiFi connection, flight information display system, as well as co-working desks, Yarismano said.
Discounts are also being offered for the Saphire Precious Plaza service at International Terminal 3, he informed. Customers only need to pay Rp376 thousand per person per two hours for the service, while the normal price is Rp605 thousand per person/2 hours.
All premium services are subject to the government’s travel regulations amid the pandemic, he said. Hence, customers are required to bring vaccination certificates and COVID-19 test results, he added.
The details of the requirements have been regulated in Transportation Ministry’s Circular Letter Number 62/2021 on instructions for managing domestic air travel during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as Circular Letter Number 63/2021 concerning instructions for implementing international air travel amid the pandemic, which can be downloaded from the website jdih.dephub.go.id, Yarismano said.
"Importantly, the current trips are only for urgent matters," he added.
