The policy has been effective since Thursday at the Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Tangerang, and Husein Sastranegara Airport, Bandung.
Vice President of Corporate Communication at AP II Yado Yarismano remarked that the policy was in accordance with the regulation announced by the Health Ministry on September 1, 2021.
"The highest tariff for the antigen rapid test should be Rp99 thousand in the Java and Bali regions, while the highest rate for other regions is Rp109 thousand. Hence, AP II and Farmalab have coordinated to set the antigen rapid test rate to be Rp85 thousand," Yarismano noted in a statement here on Thursday.
In addition, Yarismano noted that tariff reductions at other airports will be effective from September 4, 2021.
The airports comprise Kualanamu (Medan), Supadio (Pontianak), Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II (Palembang), Sultan Iskandar Muda (Banda Aceh), Raja Haji Fisabilillah (Tanjungpinang), Sultan Thaha (Jambi), Depati Amir (Pangkal Pinang), Silangit (North Tapanuli), Kertajati (Majalengka), Banyuwangi (Banyuwangi), Tjilik Riwut (Palangkaraya), Radin Inten II (Lampung), HAS Hanandjoeddin (Tanjung Pandan), Fatmawati Soekarno (Bengkulu), and General Sudirman (Purbalingga) Airports.

Meanwhile, an announcement will soon be made on the effective date for the reduction of fares at Sultan Syarif Kasim II Airport (Pekanbaru), Minangkabau (Padang), and Halim Perdanakusuma (Jakarta) Airports.

Earlier, AP II had also reduced the COVID-19 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test rate to Rp496 thousand for which the result would be received in 24 hours according to the Circular Letter of the Health Ministry Number HK.02.02/I/2845/2021.
Moreover, Yarismano remarked that the attempt aims to support the implementation of health protocols and maintain the contribution of the national aviation sector to the handling of the pandemic.

As part of the digitalization attempts, the COVID-19 testing services at Soekarno-Hatta Airport provide a pre-order service through the Travelin apps to choose the schedule and location of the test -- at the Airport Health Center in Terminal 2, Terminal 3, or Overnight Parking 2.
The apps can be downloaded both on iOS and Android.
In addition, the prospective passengers can opt for a walk-in COVID-19 testing at the Airport Health Center.

Although the test is available at the airports, Yarismano has still encouraged prospective passengers to conduct tests at health facilities or laboratories outside the airport. Thus, when they arrive at the airport, they can immediately process their departure.
"Furthermore, prospective aircraft passengers still have to meet several requirements, comprising bringing their vaccination certificate and COVID-19 test result that is also digitally available in the PeduliLindungi apps," he added.
