This collaboration is aimed at creating economic sharing through complementary synergies and collaborations between financial industry players and supporting applications, so that financing for MSMEs becomes easier, faster, and more accurate
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Fintech Company Astra Welab Digital Arta (AWDA) is partnering with PT Berdayakan Usaha Indonesia (Batumbu) to distribute production loans to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), with a distribution target of Rp100 billion.

Under this collaboration, AWDA, through its product Maucash, will distribute financing for MSMEs with a Supply Chain Financing-based scheme for invoice financing from the MSME industry that uses the Batumbu digital platform to apply for financing.

"Batumbu has proven to have good risk management, with a success rate (TKB) of 100 percent. Through this program, Batumbu and Maucash support the government's programs to boost the potential of MSMEs, so that they continue to develop sustainably, thereby resulting in financial solutions for business players," AWDA CEO, Rina Apriana, noted in a press statement, quoted on Saturday.

Thus, MSMEs, which are the backbone of economic growth in Indonesia, can survive amid Indonesia's economic revival from the current downturn of the COVID-19 pandemic.

From June to August 2021, Batumbu and Maucash have generated total financing of Rp4 billion. The two companies have succeeded in assisting MSME players to maintain cash flow for sustained business growth.

Maucash and Batumbu are expected to channel productive loans worth Rp100 billion by the end of 2021.

"Maucash is actively committed to supporting the improvement of financial literacy in the form of loans, both multipurpose and productive, and providing the best products and services for the community," Apriana affirmed.

In line with Maucash, Batumbu is not only disbursing financial support but also focusing on the development of education, information, literacy, and financial inclusion.

Through community empowerment under a supply chain approach from upstream to downstream, Batumbu believes the effort could create a sustainable ecosystem in opening up opportunities for wider and easier access to financing for the MSME sector in Indonesia.

"This collaboration is aimed at creating economic sharing through complementary synergies and collaborations between financial industry players and supporting applications, so that financing for MSMEs becomes easier, faster, and more accurate. We also hope financial inclusion would also develop better," Batumbu CEO Jenny Wiriyanto remarked.
