Minister Tasrif stated that the electricity supplied by state-run electricity company (PT PLN) for the Mandalika area, especially for welcoming the WSBK and MotoGP international motorcycle racing events, should be able to meet the requirements.
“A UPS backup system must also be prepared for the Mandalika area. Overall, seeing the development of the JKK at the Mandalika area, it is good, and hopefully, it will be ready in November," Tasrif noted in a written statement received here Friday.
PT PLN has prepared to supply electricity to meet the demand of 5.19 MVA in JKK. This electricity supply is a follow-up to the signing of the Power Purchase Agreement (SPJBTL) between the Indonesian Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) and PT PLN on June 30, 2021, in Balawista, Mandalika.
Minister Tasrif visited the Mandalika Special Economic Zone (SEZ), managed and developed by ITDC, amid his agenda to review the inauguration of 17 agencies for the distribution of one-price fuel (BBM) in Central Lombok.
During the visit, he was accompanied by NTB Governor Zulkieflimansyah, Director of Operations and Business Innovation of ITDC Arie Prasetyo, President Director of the Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA) Ricky Baheramsjah, and Director of Strategy and Communication of MGPA Happy Harinto.
