"It is time for MSMEs to transform to become the new economic power by improving MSMEs' capacity; holding various trainings, such as for digitalization, business coaching, business relation building, and showcasing of MSMEs' products," Iriana noted.
While opening the 2021 Indonesia's Creative Work Peak online event here on Thursday, the first lady encouraged MSMEs entrepreneurs to remain positive and enthusiastic in developing their businesses amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
By confronting various difficulties amid the pandemic, she expressed hope that MSMEs entrepreneurs would be able to creative innovations that could improve their business scale.

"We should prepare ourselves the best we can by improving skills in terms of the product design and marketing in order to adjust to the people's tastes, both domestically and internationally, so that the products of our MSMEs will become more popular and desirable," she emphasized.
The first lady believes opportunities abound for MSMEs to grow. Indonesia has a vast population, reaching up to 270 million people, which mirrors the promising market potential for MSMEs' products.
"There are 270 million Indonesians, who are ready to buy quality products of Indonesian MSMEs. In addition, the international market presents very wide opportunities," she said.

Iriana suggested that MSMEs entrepreneurs should utilize virtual facilities and infrastructures to market their products that can assist them in reaching a broader market.
She also urged Indonesians to be proud of and buy Indonesian MSMEs' products.
The more Indonesian MSMEs products are bought and utilized, the more MSMEs can remain profitable, and it can concurrently ensure steady income for the workforce amid challenging times, according to her.
