Who does not want to partner with us?Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has encouraged State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) to partner with global corporations to develop new-fangled business models to acclimatize to the swift developments in technology.
"The quickest way to adapt is to forge a partnership," Jokowi stated while addressing president directors of SOEs as monitored here on Saturday through the official YouTube channel of the Presidential Secretariat.
The president expressed belief that considering Indonesia's economic growth potential in the next few decades, several global firms will be interested in cooperating with Indonesian enterprises.

“Which global company is the best? Invite them to partner with us. They will definitely accept the offer, as we are projected to rank among the world's top four economies in the next 10-20 years. Who does not want to partner with us?" Jokowi affirmed.
The president expects Indonesian companies to be able to compete globally. Hence, their business model must continue to be developed and adapt to the rapid developments in technology.
Indonesian SOEs must respond to the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and era of technological disruption by learning new business models that are effective to be implemented amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The president emphasized that in order to survive the industrial revolution 4.0 era, a company should prepare excellent human resources and business ecosystem to help them adapt to technological developments.
“Business transformation and technology adaptation are required and inevitable," he emphasized.
Furthermore, he has urged enterprises to always evaluate the economic and efficiency values as well as the business indicators -- for instance, the internal rate of return of their business programs.
“In addition, as SOEs are state companies, their social impact will be taken into account. Calculation is important to assess the enterprises' future growth," he added.
