Kapuas Hulu, W Kalimantan (ANTARA) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has sent five thousand packages containing basic necessities for flood victims in Sintang district, West Kalimantan, an official has informed.

"The assistance is ready. We only need to further discuss the distribution method to ensure it will run smoothly and the aids are disbursed on target," deputy for palace administration and management at the State Secretary Ministry, Rika Kiswardani, said at a virtual coordination meeting on the disbursal of the assistance here on Wednesday.

Each package—which is planned to be disbursed on Friday—contains granulated sugar, tea, biscuits, five kilograms of rice, and one liter of cooking oil, she informed.

"We will cooperate with the local government as well as military and police personnel," she continued.

Meanwhile, the head of the administrative bureau of the Presidential Secretariat, Sony Kartiko, said that the assistance would symbolically be handed over to the West Kalimantan Governor on Thursday (November 18, 2021).

Then, the vehicles which transport the aids will immediately leave for Sintang district, he added.

"We hope that the ten trucks will have a safe trip to the disaster location," Kartiko said.
