They spearhead the direction to achieve the family’s goals and future as well as to determine the success and welfare of the nation.Jakarta (ANTARA) - Women are the spearheads that direct the family’s goals and future, including upholding the commitment to preventing them from resorting to corruption, Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection Minister I Gusti Ayu Bintang Darmawati, better known as Bintang Puspayoga, stated.
“Women are the family’s managers. They spearhead the direction to achieve the family’s goals and future as well as to determine the success and welfare of the nation,” she noted during a webinar on the topic “Let’s Protect Our Families from Gratification” here on Wednesday.
Moreover, families are the smallest components of the community that play an important role in building and bolstering the integrity and anti-corruption culture, she affirmed.
“The important role lies in the women’s hands, either as mothers or wives, to cultivate an anti-corruption mindset,” she remarked.

The Women and Children Empowerment Integrated Service (DWP) has a major role in preventing offences of receiving and offering gratification among state civil apparatuses (ASN), according to the minister.
“By bolstering the DWP, we are also strengthening the moral fortress of anti-corruption, starting from the family level,” she stated.
Referring to the 2021 Indonesia Corruption Watch, ASNs are the most involved in corruption cases, including offences of gratification, during the first half of this year, she remarked.
“We must pay more attention to this issue, especially the DWP members, who are the partners of ASN,” she emphasized.
