Jakarta (ANTARA) - Visitors to Borobudur, Prambanan, and Ratu Boko are guaranteed safety and a sense of comfort during the Christmas 2021 and New Year 2022 holidays, according to state tourism company PT TWC.

"Our current focus is on ensuring that visitors enjoy tourist destinations safely and comfortably through the good implementation of health protocols, readiness of the customer care team, cleanliness and security in the practice, and the new offers of tour packages," Director of Marketing and Services of PT TWC Hetty Herawati stated here on Thursday.

Herawati echoed PT TWC's commitment to being a model for managing tourism destinations based on the new normal situations post-pandemic.

TWC, as the manager of cultural heritage tourism destinations, applies quality tourism as a form of adaptation in times of the pandemic. It also develops storytelling-based educational content and visitor-oriented experience.

TWC has launched a tour package that can be enjoyed by limited numbers of visitors, such as witnessing the sunrise with experiential breakfast on the Borobudur Dagi hill; jogging and cycling at Borobudur Temple and Prambanan Temple; breakfast at Prambanan Temple; enjoying twilight snacks at Manohara Borobudur Restaurant; or watching the sunset at Ratu Boko.


In the last week of 2021, Borobudur, Prambanan, and Ratu Boko are open until 5 p.m. local time. Visitors can also enjoy the Andrawina Barbecue at Ratu Boko every Saturday afternoon while enjoying the beauty of Yogyakarta City from above. Moreover, the Ramayana Ballet and Roro Jonggrang performances are held every day from December 24, 2021, to January 1, 2022.

"We also offer golf and electric car services in the temples of Borobudur and Prambanan," Herawati stated.

Furthermore, TWC prepares for the G20 event next year during which the two world heritage destinations will be the venues.

With regard to the requisite health protocols, visitors are mandated to have received at least the first dose of vaccine and have installed the PeduliLindungi app on their respective mobile phones. Children under the age of 12 are allowed to enter in the company of vaccinated parents.
