Vegetable and animal fats and oils are the main export commodities of West Sulawesi Province in November 2021, contributing 87.64 percent to the province's total exportsMamuju (ANTARA) - West Sulawesi Province's exports in November 2021 were valued at US$73.22 million, an increase of 66.3 percent, from $48.54 million recorded in October 2021.
"West Sulawesi's exports in November 2021 amounted to $73.22 million, or an increase of 66.30 percent, as compared to October 2021. The increase was due to the rise in exports of non-oil and gas products," Head of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of West Sulawesi Province, Agus Gede Hendrayana, noted here on Monday.
Hendrayana pointed to a 63.59-percent increase in the exports for non-oil and gas products, such as industrial products.

The value of non-oil and gas exports during the period from January to November 2021 had reached $585.06 million, an increase of 27.82 percent as compared to $457.73 million during the corresponding period in 2020," he remarked.
"Vegetable and animal fats and oils are the main export commodities of West Sulawesi Province in November 2021, contributing 87.64 percent to the province's total exports," he noted.
Hendrayana remarked that China, the Philippines, Malaysia, and South Korea were the chief export destinations for West Sulawesi in November 2021.

The value of exports to China reached $43.77 million, or 59.79 percent of the province's total exports, followed by exports to the Philippines reaching US$20.55 million, or 28.07 percent; South Korea, $6.66 million, or 9.09 percent; and Malaysia, $2.03 million, or 2.78 percent; and other countries, $0.20 million, or 0.27 percent.
"Cumulatively, the export value of West Sulawesi Province from January to November 2020 also increased by 27.82 percent, from $457.73 million to $585.06 million during the period from January to November 2021," according to Hendrayana.
