Jakarta (ANTARA) - Manpower Minister Ida Fauziyah officially launched the Manpower Ministry’s Corporate University (Kemnaker CorpU) here on Wednesday to develop the competencies of the ministry’s civil servants.

"It is hoped that through the implementation of Kemnaker CorpU, the ministry’s civil servants will become proficient in digital, social, and technological aspects; collaborative; agile; adaptable; flexible; initiative; as well as innovative," Fauziyah remarked at the virtual event to launch Kemnaker CorpU.

The minister expects that the establishment of Kemnaker CorpU will encourage civil servants to think out of the box, become visionary, and be able to deliver professional services.

In addition, the program aims to realize world-class governance. One of the important factors to achieve the level is having brilliant civil servants.

"The program was established in accordance with the vision of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) as well as nine actions of the ministry in advancing Indonesia through the development of the national human resources," the minister stated.

Fauziyah noted that Kemnaker CorpU is also expected to contribute in generating brighter and more superior manpower apparatuses as a manifestation of bureaucratic reform in the management of human resources.

All attempts aim to provide quality services to the community, she noted.

"I urge every high-ranking official to be responsible for the learning process of the staff through the Kemnaker CorpU to develop human resource competencies in each working unit," she affirmed.

As stipulated in Article 203 of Government Regulation Number 11 of 2017 on Civil Servants Management, every civil servant has fair rights and opportunities to develop their own competence through at least 20 hours of learning session each year.

As quoted from the Communication and Informatics Ministry’s site of Infopublik, General Secretary of Manpower Ministry Anwar Sanusi stated that Kemnaker CorpU will provide various technical and functional trainings since the working scope of the ministry had become more varied nowadays.
