Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia One Data (SDI) of the National Development Planning (PPN) Ministry/ National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) encourages integration and execution of national data management, SDI's secretariat member Agung Indrajit said during an online discussion on Friday.

"SDI encourages data integration and execution handling of data management from central to regional institutions to support development planning, execution, adjustment, and handling," he stated.

In accordance with Presidential Regulation 39 of 2019, the SDI aims to provide a guideline in executing data management and realizing the availability of data that is accurate, comprehensive, and easy to share and use between institutions.

Moreover, it encourages data transparency and supports the national statistics system.

To this end, SDI, as the Indonesian government's program, improves the effectiveness in data-based decision making, Indrajit remarked.

He also expects that as Indonesia gains digital sovereignty and independence, its citizens could utilize this digital sector.

"Hence, integration among the central and regional governments, academicians, organizations, and the public is deemed necessary," he affirmed.

This could be achieved through SDI and Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) or E-Government.

SPBE comprises six parts: technology-based government system management; electronic-based government system management; and information and communication technology audit.

Moreover, SPBE encompasses the execution of electronic-based government system; acceleration of electronic-based government system; and monitoring and evaluation of electronic-based government system.

Expediting the execution of SPBE will be completed in two years that includes integration in goods and service planning, budgeting, and provision, and personnel service between the National Civil Service Agency (BKN) and government institutions in addition to the e-document requirement and public service complaint.

Moreover, the information and communication technology infrastructure will be completed within three years.

During the event, Regional General Service Head at the Jakarta Provincial Government's Jakarta Smart City Yudhistira Nugraha has stated that the utilization of technology and data is the primary key in realizing a smart city ecosystem.
