"Thus, 80 percent of the cases in West Java are spread out in six regions, specifically Bogor (city and district), Depok City, Bekasi (city and district), and Bandung City, while the rest 20 percent are spread out in other regions," he noted here on Monday.
To this end, Kamil affirmed that currently, the people's mobility in the Bogor, Depok and Bekasi (Bodebek) and Bandung areas was being monitored.
Kamil noted that the bed occupancy rate (BOR) in hospitals in West Java was still safe despite the increasing high number of COVID-19 cases.

"During the (spread of the) Delta variant, the number of cases were high, and the BOR was high as well. Now, (during the Omicron spread), the number of cases is high, but the BOR is still low," he remarked.
He remarked that several hospitals in the province were on heightened vigil to face the spike in COVID-19 cases by increasing the capacity of COVID-19 patient treatment rooms.
"We have started to increase the capacity of hospitals and readied oxygen," he asserted.

In accordance with the instruction of Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin, asymptomatic COVID-19 patients or those with mild symptoms are encouraged to not undergo treatment at hospitals, he remarked.
The governor also stated that the implementation of face-to-face learning in those six regions would be evaluated.
The first case of COVID-19 was confirmed in Indonesia in March 2020. According to data provided by the COVID-19 Handling Task Force, as of February 7, 2022, at least 4,542,601 COVID-19 cases were detected in the country, while 4,191,604 people have recovered, and 144,636 people have succumbed to the virus.
The Ministry of Health detected the first case of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 in Indonesia on December 15, 2021.
