Jakarta (ANTARA) - As many as 1,155 civil servants of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights in various regions were exposed to the Omicron variant of COVID-19, according to the ministry's Secretary General Andap Budhi Revianto.

"I express my sympathy to the colleagues that were exposed to COVID-19. May they recover quickly and be given strength and health by the God Almighty," Andap Budhi Revianto stated here on Friday.

In response to the condition, the Ministry of Law and Human Rights has taken three steps in the form of greeting infected employees virtually, offering telemedicine services, and issuing a Circular (SE) on tightening COVID-19 protocols, he remarked.

During the virtual greeting, Revianto offered several tips, so that those exposed to the Omicron variant could recover quickly.

To tackle the COVID-19 pandemic, all civil servants in the ministry, especially those who got infected, were urged to remain optimism for recovery, disciplined in implementing health protocols, and to keep praying to God.

"Optimistic, disciplined, and pray to God," he remarked.

He also called on all managers or supervisors in the ministry to pay attention to and routinely monitor health conditions of the employees.

The Ministry of Law and Human Rights also developed telemedicine services in each region to facilitate monitoring and handling of employees' health without having to be present at the office.

In its circular, the ministry orders tightening the implementation of health protocols and postponement of all official travel until February 21, 2022, and encouraging online communication and meetings.

"Employee safety is the highest law," he remarked.
