As long as the village data collection process is correct, there will be no mistake.
Kudus, Central Java (ANTARA) - The Villages, Disadvantaged Areas, and Transmigration Ministry called on regional governments to complete updating data based on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) required to determine the village development action plan.

"This is because the village SDGs are the main foundation for detailed mapping. There is no room for debate," Villages, Disadvantaged Areas, and Transmigration Minister Abdul Halim Iskandar stated here on Sunday.

"As long as the village data collection process is correct, there will be no mistake," he affirmed.

The minister underscored the importance of accurate and complete data collection at the village level in implementing development programs, including the poverty mitigation program.

"The key is complete, accurate, and sustainable data. When the village government has the database, it should always be updated," Iskandar affirmed.

"To this end, complete trust should be placed on the village government in updating data based on the village SDGs," he remarked.

Thus, villages would have information pertaining to poverty in their regions. The villages will know firsthand who has it, where do they live, and what are their current condition better than the ministry.

Kudus' People Empowerment Expert Staff Moh Ali Khomsin noted that the Kudus government had been updating the SDGs-based data since 2021.
