This would help revive the economy and open more jobs, especially around the Likupang Super Priority Destination area in North Minahasa, North Sulawesi, he remarked in a statement issued here on Wednesday.
"Today, we want to ensure that the super-priority destination of Likupang-Manado is ready for our economic revival, the opening of business opportunities, as well as job employment availability for human resources trained through upskilling and reskilling," he explained during a tourism attraction management training in Manado, North Sulawesi.
As one of the five super-priority tourism destinations in Indonesia, Likupang-Manado has unique and interesting tourism potential, given its natural beauty and culture, as well as creative economy ranging from culinary, music, crafts, to the implementation of international events, he highlighted.
The training was held to prepare human resources for managing Likupang-Manado and making it an attractive tourist destination, he said.
The government must also formulate a policy that can meet the communities' needs so that the economy can rise again, he added.
The training was one of the efforts made by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy to support development acceleration and ensure the readiness of required facilities in the Likupang-Manado super-priority area, the minister said.
"Hence, we will speed up (development), while the government will facilitate activities and make sure investors start investing; to not wait anymore so that jobs and the economy can be opened," he pointed out.
Uno also invited entrepreneurs to invest in the Likupang area.
"Entrepreneurs who already hold a permit (for investing) can immediately invest," he added.
