Let's be the energy that makes the Indonesian Presidency a success at the G20. Recover Together, Recover StrongerJakarta (ANTARA) - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Erick Thohir on Tuesday said that his ministry and all state-owned enterprises are ready to support the organization of G20 events under Indonesia’s Presidency.
“The SOEs Ministry and the SOE ecosystem are ready to succeed the Indonesian Presidency at G20, collaborating with all resources and making efforts from upstream to downstream," said the minister on his official Instagram handle @kementerianbumn.
The support will cover infrastructure, telecommunications, energy, as well as transportation, he added.
Thohir said Indonesia's Presidency of the G20 is an honor for the Indonesian people as well as proof of the world's trust in the country’s ability to lead a forum that resolves global issues and challenges. Indonesia's Presidency also reflects its identity as a great nation, he added.
The three main priorities for Indonesia at this year’s G20 Summit will be global health architecture, digital-based economic transformation, and sustainable energy transition, he noted.
He then appealed to all parties to jointly support and make the G20 Summit in Indonesia successful.
"Let's be the energy that makes the Indonesian Presidency a success at the G20. Recover Together, Recover Stronger," Thohir remarked.
Earlier, director of development, economy, and environment at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hari Prabowo, had said that Indonesia will encourage open, fair, and mutually beneficial economic recovery and growth at the forum.
Indonesia will focus on economic recovery as many countries have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, he explained.
The desired recovery, he said, would be one that allows all countries to recover and grow together.
The pandemic should be used as a rare moment to transform the world for the better. Indonesia's Presidency of the G20 will provide a breakthrough platform for transformation efforts in various fields, he said.
